EMPLOYEE BENEFITS 2007

 

 

Health Insurance: 3 HMO health plans are offered to employees with the Corporation paying 92% of the cost of the least expensive plan for both single and family enrollment for full-time employees.

 

Dental Insurance : Employees are offered a dental plan with the Corporation paying 100% of the single premium for full-time employees. The plan covers 100% of preventative services, 80% of most basic services, and 50% of some major work up to $1500 per year.

 

Flexible Spending Account Plan: Allows employees to set aside money through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis for unreimbursed medical, dental & vision expenses or dependent care costs.

 

Life Insurance: A term life insurance policy is available for full-time employees with a portion of the premium paid by the employee.

 

Legally Mandated Benefits: The Corporation provides all legally mandated insurance including Worker's Compensation, Social Security/Medicare contributions and unemployment insurance.

 

Short Term Disability: The Corporation provides an enhanced short term disability plan that pays 70% of salary for up to 26 weeks of an illness or injury.

Long Term Disability: The Corporation offers full-time employees a long term disability policy in which the employer pays the first $10.00 toward of the premium. Coverage pays 60% of salary after being disabled for 6mos. to age 65.


Retirement Plan: The Corporation offers a 401(k) retirement plan for employees. An employer   contribution may vary from year to year based on budget performance.  Employees may also contribute to the plan on a pre-tax basis.

 

Employee Assistance Program: The Corporation provides a comprehensive EAP for all employees and members of their immediate households.  In addition to confidential counseling for a variety of issues, the EAP conducts personal enrichment seminars throughout the year in the workplace.

 

Credit Union Membership: The Corporation has arranged for employees and members of their immediate households to join the Buffalo Metropolitan Federal Credit Union and experience significant financial savings through a number of banking services.
