Popular Opinion Leader (P.O.L.)

This community-level intervention involves identifying, enlisting, and training key opinion leaders to encourage safer sexual norms and behaviors within their social networks through risk-reduction conversations. This is a Diffused Effective Behavioral Intervention (D.E.B.I.) that is currently being utilized by the Prevention Education & Training Division of AIDS Community Sevices in order to address the challenge of reducing people's exposure to HIV.
